Quatt is growing quickly. With that growth comes greater complexity and higher expectations for the quality of our numbers. We’re hiring a Head of Financial Control to bring structure and reliability, while keeping the business moving.
You will lead Financial Control as a function and take ownership of statutory reporting and audits. Working closely with the CFO as a sparring partner on accounting, internal controls, and financial risk, you will challenge assumptions where needed and flag issues early. Together with Finance Operations and senior stakeholders, you help Quatt make better-informed decisions.

🌱 Your role as Head of Financial Control
As Head of Financial Control, you are responsible for both leadership and execution. You set standards, create clarity, and ensure predictable, high-quality financial reporting. You will:
Lead the Financial Control team (5 FTE), setting clear priorities, expectations, and high-quality standards.
Define what ‘good’ looks like and hold the team accountable for delivery and timelines.
Own the month-end and year-end close across all legal entities.
Prepare and review statutory financial statements at entity and consolidated level under Dutch GAAP.
Act as the main point of contact for external auditors, managing audits end-to-end and addressing issues at a structural level.
Design and maintain an internal control framework that fits a scaling, international organisation.
Own complex accounting topics; Act as the final technical authority on accounting standards, providing expert guidance on the treatment of non-standard transactions and nuanced applications in areas like revenue recognition, intercompany structures, and R&D capitalization
Improve close processes, controls, and automation (ERP/BI) to reduce manual work and shorten the close cycle.
Lead finance-related structural changes, including the transition to a holding structure.
Identify financial risks early and clearly explain issues and trade-offs to the CFO and Management Team.

What we’re looking for
A Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Control.
RA, ACCA or equivalent (RC possible with a strong financial control background).
10–12+ years of experience, with 5–7 years post-audit and proven leadership of a Financial Control or accounting team.
Strong, hands-on knowledge of Dutch GAAP (IFRS is a plus).
Experience with entity-level and consolidated reporting.
Background in high-growth, multi-entity environments; international exposure helps.
Strong judgment and the ability to separate what matters from noise.
Confidence to challenge assumptions and communicate clearly with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
You’re currently in the Netherlands or able to relocate (as this is not a fully remote position).
Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus).
Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems is a plus.
